2007-08 This will be the 13th season that Keith Maurer has served as the Head Cross Country Coach and 15th as an assistant coach for CNU Track & Field. During his tenure, the men's Cross Country team has won the USA South Conference Championship every year and the women have won the conference title 10 times in the past 12 years. CNU cross country has also taken first place at the Mason-Dixon Men's & Women’s Conference Championships in 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2005. Maurer as been selected USA South Conference's Men's Cross-Country Coach of the Year eight of the past ten years and the Women's Cross-Country Coach of the Year five times as well as Mason-Dixon Coach of the Year in 2001 and 2005.
On the track, he coached CNU's first distance All-American (Megan Fogarty, Indoor Mile, 2006) and his athletes hold 80% of the distance Top-10 lists, including 13 of the 18 School Records.
Maurer received a B.A. in Education from William & Mary and a M.Ed. in Education from West Chester University. He is a USA Track & Field Level 2 Endurance Coach.
